Quiet Path Atelier

Our quiet path began with ink and wax.

Founded in 2016, Quiet Path Atelier preserves the timeless art of wax seal making while teaching it to a new generation of makers.

Our Story

What started as an after-hours experiment with sealing wax has grown into a dedicated studio, workshop series, and global community of seal makers.

2016 – The first seal

Elena Voss melted her grandmother’s antique sealing wax on the kitchen table. The impression was imperfect, but unforgettable.

2018 – First workshops

We moved into a modest studio space and began teaching small groups of 8 students how to choose pigments, temperature, and paper.

2021 – The Atelier expands

With the help of our growing alumni, we published our first limited-edition wax recipe book and welcomed international students online.

2024 – New chapter

We opened our current sunlit studio overlooking the bay, featuring a permanent gallery, private lesson rooms, and a custom dispenser workshop.

Mission

To keep the craft of handwritten correspondence alive by teaching precise, beautiful, and lasting wax seal techniques to anyone who values the tactile art of letters.

Our values

  • • Intention over speed
  • • Respect for archival materials
  • • Generous knowledge sharing
  • • Community before commerce
  • • Continuous refinement of craft
